The Goal:
Create a clean, minimal, and UX-focused iOS app for a YC-funded EdTech startup that had previously launched a successful web platform — but lacked a mobile presence. The goal was to extend their mission to underserved students through intuitive, mobile-first design.

The Challenge:
The team promoted Duolingo-style engagement, but designing for education at this level required striking the right balance between fun and focus. The biggest challenge was rethinking learning flows for smaller screens while keeping accessibility and motivation central to the experience.
2
The Result
The final design was rated a Top Assignment out of 101+ entries, with high praise from mentors and peers. The iterative process taught me how to fine-tune microinteractions and navigation patterns for mobile-first learning apps — while keeping the user’s journey frictionless and goal-driven.
